Choosing partnerships breeds success
Annual Report 2021 2022 v2

We’re excited to share our 2021–2022 Annual Report that highlights the inspirational initiatives the PHO has achieved despite an extremely challenging year.

This includes our work leading the way for HPV self-testing to fight cervical cancer and our collaboration with Brown Buttabean Motivation and Te Whatu Ora that is changing the lives of people with severe weight problems, particularly Māori and Pasifika.

Another highly successful collaboration we were involved in this year was the trial of a New Zealand first – heart health checks in a COVID vaccination clinic. This will now help boost screening for multiple diseases and conditions in other community settings.

Total Healthcare contracts the delivery of health services serving 228,000 patients in Counties Manukau, Auckland and Waitematā regions.

The PHO also serves nearly 74,000 Pasifika patients, including 51,000 in the Counties Manukau area making it the largest primary health provider to Pacific people in South Auckland.
