Video promotes life saving health checks
Heart health checks 4 v2
Brown Butterbean Motivation (BBM) founder Dave Letele put his hand up for a heart health check from nurse advisor Joe Glassie-Rasmussen at the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei vaccination centre in Glen Innes.

More people, especially Māori and Pasifika, need a free heart health check. So, Total Healthcare PHO called on Dave Letele, founder of Brown Butterbean Motivation, to help us spread the word.

Check out our video featuring Dave and please share it with your networks.

In the video Dave gets his check at the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei vaccination centre in Glen Innes. This centre has been offering the checks after COVID vaccinations ‒ a New Zealand first, supported by all Auckland primary health organisations ‒ that is proving enormously successful during a trial run.

Dave cuts to the chase about the importance of these checks in the video: "Too many people in their 30s and 40s are dying of heart disease, stroke, all these things are preventable. All you’ve got to do is go and get your test."
