Leading the way in healthcare and wellness support
Annual Report 2022 2023 v2

Total Healthcare’s 2022–2023 Annual Report celebrates our mahi that makes a long-term difference to the lives of the people we serve, particularly Auckland’s large high-needs Māori and Pasifika populations.

We hope this will lead the way for similar innovative healthcare and wellness support around the country.

Central to our success is that we listen closely to the views of our communities, and learn from them about the services they need, so we can best provide for their total healthcare.

We proudly look at healthcare holistically including:

  • Providing wrap-around services to young Māori and Pasifika mums through Mana 4 Mums.
  • Preventing family harm by supporting Gandhi Nivas whose services help men to change their behaviour and provides support to their families.
  • Funding wellness support teams in primary healthcare that led to the introduction of health coaches in GP clinics nationally.
  • Partnering with Brown Buttabean Motivation and Te Whatu Ora to help people battling severe obesity related issues to kick start their fitness and wellness journey through From the Couch.

We also helped thousands more women to reduce their cervical cancer risk by trialing new human papillomavirus self-testing in our Local Doctors clinics. This helped inform its national rollout.
